Description on the individual ideation of the link

Objective:

To let people get to know the top 3 snacks that are recommended to try out in Ipoh, Perak.

Description:
A snack is a portion of food oftentimes smaller than that of a regular meal, that is generally eaten between meals. Snacks come in a variety of forms including packaged and processed foods and items made from fresh ingredients at home. Traditionally, snacks were prepared from ingredients commonly available in the home. Often leftovers, sandwiches made from cold cuts, nuts, fruit, and the like were used as snacks. A beverage may be considered a snack if it possesses a substantive food item (e.g., strawberries, bananas, kiwis) that has been blended to create a smoothie. Snack foods are typically designed to be portable, quick and satisfying. Processes snack foods are designed to be less perishable, more durable, and more portable than prepared foods. They often contain substantial amounts of sweeteners, preservatives, and appealing ingredients such as chocolate, peanuts and specially-designed flavors (such as flavored potato chips). A snack eaten shortly before going to bed or during the night may be called a midnight snack.

Findings:
Below are the Ipoh local snacks that I highly recommend:

Hiong Piah

Hiong Piah means fragrant pastries in English. These crispy pastries, which resemble slightly flattened balls, contain a sweet sticky filling made from malt and shallots (also known as beleko), which is covered by a flaky baked crust and garnished with sesame seeds on the surface. They are available in many stores around Ipoh. Tourists buy them as souvenirs from Ipoh. They are also available in other parts of Malaysia and Singapore. Hiong Peah is popular with the Malaysian Chinese community, especially those in Northern Peninsular Malaysia.

Tau Fu Fah

Tau Fu Fah is a very popular Chinese dessert made with very soft tofu and coagulated soya bean milk. It is also referred to as tofu pudding. And of course being soy, it has tons of nutritional value. Tau Fu Fah can be eaten hot or cold. It is served with different toppings in different cuisine.

Kaya Puff

Kaya puff is a type of pastries made up  of two components, flaky puff pastry and kaya filling. Kaya is the Malay name of coconut jam, where its made from coconut milk and eggs, flavored with pandan leaf and sweetened with sugar. Hence, kaya puff is a puff with coconut jam filling.

Due to one of our group members, Putri has withdrawn from this subject, her part for' Ipoh White Coffee' will be no one working on it. After consideration, since white coffee is more famous and more worth trying compared to snacks, therefore the part for 'Ipoh Local Snacks'  will be given up and me, Jin Jun will take over the part for introducing 'Ipoh White Coffee' because it is better to be introduced to tourists =)
