This is the whole idea of our website
There will be 4 links which represent 4 different types of food in Ipoh, which are Ipoh bean sprouts chicken, Ipoh 'Hor Fun', Ipoh white coffee and 'Dim sum'
Each member will come out with their individual flow chart which is more detailed under the part she is in charging

This is the GUI design of our homepage.

The menu tab above shows the individual link of each member.
For the introduction, we will talk about the background of Ipoh and at the right side of it will have a flash player on foods we are going to introduce.

Description of Group Website

As mentioned before, our group has plan to talk about Ipoh’s most famous food and beverage which are local snacks, Ipoh bean sprouts chicken, Ipoh ‘Hor Fun’, Ipoh white coffee and local dim sum.

We have discussed together and came out an idea to design the website. At the homepage, we will have 5 links to click into and these 5 links each represent the 5 types of food we have chosen. There will be a brief introduction about Ipoh and a flash which shows the 5 types of the food at the homepage as well.

In each of the individual page, everyone of us will provide information on the particular food. Each page will have links at the side to have more detail view.

This is a short introduction about what we will be doing for our group webpage. The actual webpage may be slightly different from what has mentioned here. Each member of our group is looking for more information for the specific food that she is incharging and edited photos using photoshop so that they look more interesting. Images that we have uploaded here might be a trifle different from our actual work.

Updates

We have set out target audience to be people ranging from 18-49 years old
This is because from the latest survey, we can see that people aging from 18-49 are the group of people who use the internet most
They may be attracted to the website and plan to visit to Malaysia
Other than that, we feel that people from this range of age have more energy and passion to travel around to explore new things and have fun
Therefore we would like to select them as target audience and create the webpage which is attracting for them

Meeting/Discussion

Date: 27 June 2011
Time: after Digital Media lecture class
Venue: FOM XR0001

Matters discussed are as follows:
1.) The division of task for each of the members
2.) The design and layout for the website
3.) The content for homepage and also each individual page

All the members will gather after Monday's digital media lecture classes and after Friday's tutorial classes to talk about the work in progress of our group assignment.
When we faced problems on doing the assignment, we can easily meet each other because all of us are staying in the hostel.

proposal

For the final assignment of Digital Media 1, the title that we had chosen to talk about Malaysian Culture is FOOD and the specific area we chose is Ipoh, Perak. The reason we choose Ipoh is because Ipoh can be consider as the paradise for people who loves food.

The objective of creating this blog is to promote Ipoh's food, analyze the role of food and how important is it related to Malaysian Culture. We would like to bring information about Ipoh's cuisine to people and attract them to visit Ipoh.

We will be using 2 methods to gather information:
1) Do research

We will search for information from internet, magazines, newspaper, etc.

2) Other sources

We will do a small survey and target our friends who come from Ipoh. We will prepare some questions to ask about the food in Ipoh so that we can get more information about the assignment we will be doing soon.

Each member of our group will be assign to one sub topic, and we have divided the sub topics to each member as below:

We hope that our assignment will let people know that Ipoh actually has a lot of delicious food and show them how Ipoh's food are related to Malaysian Culture. People will surely get attracted and wanted to go Ipoh to try out the nice food!
